Hotel Karos Brugges
In the romantic town of Bruges, an old colonial style hotel needed an updated look.
The new design proposal creates more space for guest leisure as the lobby and front breakfast room transforms into a front lounge. A stand-alone glass wall printed with an ancient map of Bruges blocks the corridor view and invites the guests to stay and leisure rather pass-through.
The two breakfast rooms are joined into one semi-open space overlooking the garden.
The new plan strives to insert as much daylight as possible into the public areas, and the new design maintains the current rural atmosphere while giving it a twist of modern elegance.
Program: Business and Leisure Hotel, 63 rooms | Location: Old City of Brugges, Belgium | Area: 3200 sqm | Status: Design Proposal
